HOW TO BECOME PRODUCTIVE

Image
“Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.” Mathew 25:16-17 (KJV) Hi folks it is nice to be back on this journey called productivity, we have reached a very important milestone of this narrative called “How to Become Productive ”. From our journey so far it is very palpable that the most important factor in becoming productive is how the precious resource of time is used. The truth is most human resources can be replaced, a deforested land can be afforested, some resources can be renewed, but the resources of time can never be renewed.  If time can be renewed or reversed then most of us would have rewound the tides of time to correct certain mistakes we have done in the past, besides all the other resources can be explored in the context of time. In other words no matter how resourced a person is, if one doesn’t have the precious resourc...

What is Productivity?

Image
“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”  John 9:4 (KJV) Hi folks, it is good to be back and I trust you had a fruitful week, today we want to continue our journey on productivity; we want to focus on what exactly is productivity. This topic brings to mind an experience a former colleague at work told me some few year ago. This colleague is a British of Ghanaian parentage, her experience was about the rude shock she had the first time she arrived in Ghana as a working class adult.  Having grown up in England, a country where time is valued as the most important resource, generally people spend time doing things that are productive to them. People live to work or engage in things that add on to them, the system doesn’t promote those who idle around. Mostly, hanging out is sometimes seen as a waste of precious time because one could be learning something or keeping abreast with the latest development in ...

PRODUCTIVITY

“For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.”   Mathew 13:12(KJV) Hi folks, I want to wish you an uplifting and a fruitful 2018, this is the year you and I must give our all to God so us to experience Him in an increasing measure. I want us to start the year with a message that the Lord gave me understanding into last year. The message has to do with productivity or fruitfulness; and I have entitled this series “Productivity”. The case of DR Congo on one hand and Belgium on the other hand never ceases to amaze me. DR Congo (DRC), a country in Central Africa has one of the richest ecosystem in the world in terms of natural resources; it is believed that about 30% of the world’s sought after minerals can be found in the DRC. This country has an untapped potential to produce enough hydroelectric power to drive the economies of most countries in the central Africa re...

SOME FACTS ABOUT STAGES

Image
Hi folks, all so soon we have come to the end of this journey and I hope you have been blessed, but before we sign off I want us to take a look at some facts about what we just looked at, so as to refresh our memory and probably clear any doubts in our minds. 1.        Assignment determines Duration - Your assignment on earth determines the duration you spend in your preparatory process – Just like the introductory story about the pregnant dog and the pregnant elephant, the duration one spends at a particular stage hinges on the assignment we are supposed to fulfill on earth. I saw this quote on a friends facebook page and I quote      “Noah – waited 120 years before the predicted rains arrived, Abraham waited for 25 years for a promised son and Joseph waited for 14 years in prison for a crime he did not ” So it will be unhealthy on our part to be comparing ourselves with others, the bible says that “those who compare themselves...

STAGES (The Fruitful Stage)

Image
“Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” John 15:2 (KJV).  Hi folks I am excited to be back, as I promised in my last edition, today we are going to look at the final stage called the “The Fruitful stage”. As I have already mentioned in my previous post, fruitfulness is the desired stage of everyone. Infact, it is also God’s heart desire that everyone comes into fruitfulness; as humans we were wired among other reasons to be fruitful. The first mandate God gave Adam reads “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful……………….” G enesis 1:28 (KJV).  Jesus Christ the second Adam came to accentuate the importance of fruitfulness in God’s scheme of things by saying that “Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” John 15:2 (KJV). What made the wh...

STAGES (The Dying Stage)

Image
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”   Galatians 2:20 (KJV) Hi, I trust you are doing well by God’s grace, it’s been a week and as I said in my last edition today we will take a look at the second stage called the “The Dying Stage” . This is the most difficult of all the stages, at this moment most people are unable to survive because of the fierceness of the battles that are waged. The goal of Satan at this stage is to ensure that the seeds you and I have sown never amount to anything. This is the point where every garbage is thrown at us just to ensure that we do not amount to anything relative to the assignment.  Let’s go to our key scripture and look at it carefully - John 12:24(KJV) “Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if i...

THE HEART IS THE THING – The Good Hearted Persons (Part 2)

Image
A good (fertile) hearted person prioritizes his life by channeling his energy towards the things of God first as well as making time for other responsibilities. He understands that the word of God is the only creative agent that can generate a true and meaningful life and give him lasting and eternal inheritance as the bible states in Act 20:32 (KJV) “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”   Their time of studying God’s word and prayer goes beyond the space of Church bible reading and corporate prayer meetings. Just like the case of Daniel they are deliberate and make time to study God’s word and pray; they do not allow anything to take their time of private studying of the scripture and prayer. They do not even allow church activities and ministry responsibilities to deprive them of their personal time for the word of God. “Then the twel...

THE HEART IS THE THING – The Rocky Hearted Person

Image
“And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.”                                                                                         Luke 8:6 (KJV) Unlike the Wayside Hearted Person the Rocky Hearted Person is a believer, probably filled with the Holy Spirit and has all the grace or the divine potential to grow and become like Jesus Christ. This category of people in the church are born again and very religious but not necessarily, spiritual; they might have an outward appearance and idiosyncrasies of a spiritual person, but lack the power of the Gospel in their lives.  Apostle Paul refers to this group of believers as babies in the Lord according to 1Corinthians 3:1 (KJV) “ And I, brethren,...
