Joy new website, a credible new portal reported it this way, and I quote. “ A Ghanaian pastor has been arrested for shooting his wife dead in the American city of Orlando, Florida.   Sylvester Ofori   murdered his wife Barbara Tommey, 27 outside an Orlando credit union where she works around 9 am.   The heinous crime was captured on CCTV camera which led to the identifying and subsequent arrest of Sylvester   Ofori at his private residence. “ You can tell that she ’ s trying to get inside. Hi folks, all so soon we have come to the end of this journey and I hope you have been blessed, but before we sign off I want us to take a look at some facts about what we just looked at, so as to refresh our memory and probably clear any doubts in our minds. 1.        Assignment determines Duration - Your assignment on earth determines the duration you spend in your preparatory process – Just like the introductory story about the pregnant dog and the pregnant elephant, the duration one spends at a particular stage hinges on the assignment we are supposed to fulfill on earth. James 4:10 (KJV)    “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”, Paul’s advice to his son Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV) always reminds me to review what I am doing as a Christian. It’s is really a profound reality check to me as far as God’s will for my life is concerned. There are 3 important landmarks in this scripture that is: (1) Fighting a good fight - which means that all of us Christians have a fight to fight, but it must be a good one, so It is very instructive of us to know what we choose to exert our energy and time on as people who are on assignment on this earth, some fights are worth your energy, while others are not. (2) Finish your course – There are many believers who have left their course unfinished because of societal pressure and the love for material possession. “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1 st Corinthians 1:18 (KJV) “The cross is foolishness, despicable and it’s also an incoherent method for any coherent individual to bring salvation to a group of enslaved people. What kind of salvation strategy is this?” Retorts one college professor. Personally, the college professor’s assertion is not offensive, because the wisdom in bringing salvation to the human race was not formulated and conceived by the limited carnal knowledge of man; the professor’s orientation is a testament to the limitation of a person who has not come to terms with the influence and the workings of the Holy Spirit.  The fact is, this so called “ABSURD” method of salvation was not formulated and fashioned within the fore walls of humans’ higher institutions of learning, its full meaning and cohesiveness cannot be encapsulated by the most enlightened mind that does not h...
