“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1 st Corinthians 1:18 (KJV) “The cross is foolishness, despicable and it’s also an incoherent method for any coherent individual to bring salvation to a group of enslaved people. What kind of salvation strategy is this?” Retorts one college professor. “And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”  Mark 8:34 (KJV) Dela comes from a royal family whose empire extends beyond Africa to even the new world. His father was the most powerful emperor, he had the most powerful army and an infinite economic might. But Dela’s father had one unfulfilled heart desire- that was to have someone go as a ransom to redeem some slaves who were being held in captivity in a very dark and evil province. Although, he had all the power and authority to rescue the slaves without necessarily paying a ransom, the principle and the law he had enacted blocks Him from doing that.  Being a beloved son, Dela decided to go and become the ransom so as to bring joy to his father. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no   more can ye, except ye abide in me."   John 15:4 (KJV) As I indicated from the last post, the goal of this series is to show us the roadmap to the ultimate, which is becoming a FRUITFUL BELIEVER. If you track back to the various posts of this series you will notice the various snippets of the roadmap to becoming a fruitful believer or A GOOD (FERTILE) HEARTED PERSON. Becoming a fruitful and productive person is one of God’s main expectations of the human race according to  Genesis 1:28  “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it”   and Jesus Christ reiterated the need for anybody who follows him to be fruitful in John 15:2  “Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” so ...

A good (fertile) hearted person prioritizes his life by channeling his energy towards the things of God first as well as making time for other responsibilities. He understands that the word of God is the only creative agent that can generate a true and meaningful life and give him lasting and eternal inheritance as the bible states in Act 20:32 (KJV) “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”   Their time of studying God’s word and prayer goes beyond the space of Church bible reading and corporate prayer meetings. Just like the case of Daniel they are deliberate and make time to study God’s word and pray; they do not allow anything to take their time of private studying of the scripture and prayer.                “And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold.”                                                                     Luke 8:8 To begin with this narrative let us look at how the key scripture passage describes the Good (fertile) hearted person,  according to Luke 8:15  “ But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.” And Luke 8:8 “And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold.” From the two passages a good hearted person is honest, good, patient and someone who knows and practices the scriptures.  You will notice from the account of the parable of the sower in Luke Chapt...
