BENEFITS OF DEATH - Full Restoration of The Dominion Mandate

The recent wind that blew throughout
the geo-political landscape of the world was the wind of change; this wind of
change brought unimaginable sweep over of the political powers that be, from
the Capitol Hill of the USA, through Banjul the capital city of Gambia and to Ghana’s
seat of government (Flagstaff House) here in Accra. Prior to this geo-political
changes I followed the political contest keenly especially the rallies and the presidential
debates on both international and local media just to understand what goes into
the battle for political supremacy in these spaces and one interesting thing
that I noticed was the passion, energy, time and resources (human and financial
resources) that were sacrificed on the altar of political expedience.
It was
reported in both the International and local media that close to $4 billion was
spent by both the Republican and the Democratic candidates in the 2016 USA
presidential election. Here in my country Ghana, it was interesting to note how
the political party in power, NDC spent so much money just to hold unto
political power for the next four years, whereas the main opposition party the
NPP also put in a lot of work in strategizing as well as deploying a lot of
resources (financial and human) - mainly human resources just to wrestle power
from the political party in power. Most of the functionaries and foot soldiers
of both the NDC and NPP were ready to spend their all, even their lives in
their quest to attain political victory.
During this season our local
communities were filled with the foot soldiers of the mainly opposition party
NPP; they covered almost every vicinity; from village to village and hamlet to
hamlet and sometimes on empty stomachs to drum in the wind of change into the
minds of the electorate. One of the mantra the opposition NPP kept echoing was
the need for protecting the sanctity of the election in other to bring about
the needed political change through what they termed “PROTECT THE BALLOT.” These politicians were ready to sacrifice
their all, even their lives to achieve political supremacy for just four years,
yet most of us Christians are not ready to give our all to even spread and
defend our faith as well as consolidate our dominion in Christ Jesus.
The
politicians were ready to “PROTECT THE BALLOT” at all cost and yet majority of today’s Christians are not ready to “PROTECT THEIR FAITH”; our
actions and inaction have no bearing to that of our forebears who dedicated
their lives to ensure the expansion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our
forbearer had so much faith in God and His promise, they gave their all to hold
unto the promise and also transfer it to the generation after them; they were
convinced of the coming DOMINION that they would be exercising in the world to

Chapter eleven is littered with historical accounts of how our forbearers
gave their all, and even their lives to “PROTECT THEIR FAITH” Hebrews 11:36-37
(KJV) says “And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea,
moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder,
were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and
goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented”.
It does appear to me
that most of us contemporary Christians have no proper perspective of our
“DOMINION” in Christ Jesus, our attitude toward God and anything of the kingdom
of God just point to one direction – WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHO WE ARE IN GOD. It
is sickening seeing a lot of us Christians compromising our faith just like the
ungodly Esau, who sold his birthright for a meal; we have becoming more
materialistic than the word materialism; we have been consumed with a desire of
gathering earthly riches that does not have any eternal appeal; we have come to
classify one’s possession of houses, cars, lands, big business, great careers,
as the only evidence of God’s blessings in our lives.
However, a careful study
of the scripture paints a picture of the fact that, the actual blessing Christ died
for goes beyond our physical eyes. Our blessing and the privileges we have in
Christ is unimaginable; a thought of our dominion in Christ Jesus triggers an exciting
times ahead of us. Thinking of our dominion in Jesus Christ just diminishes my
worry, fears, anxieties and uncertainties of the unknown as well as our lives
after this material world. The most exciting part of this dominion is the
restoration of all that we lost in Adam; everything would be restored to us
fully in Christ Jesus. It should behoove on us to Look forward to the day when
all our tears and struggles would be no more; a period when the earth will be
fill with the saints of God in joyful and blessed habitation, where we would be
flourishing, increasing, multiplying, replenishing, subduing as well as
exercise total dominion of this earth.
This is the period when righteousness
would totally rain on the earth and the glory of the Lord will cover the earth
as the waters covers the sea. You and I will take total charge of this earth
and exercise the mandate of our Lord who is THE KING OF KINGS AND THE LORD OF
LORDS; just as the then governor of the Gold Coast (Ghana) represented the
queen of England and exercise a delegated authority over that British Colony,
so are we going to represents and take charge of this earth and exercise the
mandate of God according to the scriptures in
Psalm 37:9 “………………………………………………; but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall
inherit the earth.” And “And hast
made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth” Revelation_5:10 and “And
there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the
sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and
ever” Revelation 22:5 (KJV).
The amazing part of the hope that awaits us,
is the facts that the coming dominion that we would be exercising on this earth
has no end, the scripture puts it this way “Of
the increase of his government
and peace there shall be no
end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to
establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The
zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9:7. What an authority
that awaits the saints!!!! ; There is no power and authority both in the past
and present kingdoms or governments of this world that can be compared to the
kind of governance those of us that trust in God will be exercising. The
dexterity of the dominion that we wield in Christ Jesus can never be over
emphasize; it’s so wide, so deep and so powerful to the extent that its fullest
deployment will transform the earth
realm exactly into that of heaven.
The bible says that no 1 Corinthians 2: 9 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen,
nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God
hath prepared for them that love him.” A lot of Kingdom or superpowers have risen and falling in the past and the
current world superpower would be given way to a new emerging superpower,
however when it comes to the power and the authority that the saints of God
would be exercising, it is unending and unlimited; it’s the delegated authority
of Jesus Christ himself and we would be regning with Christ Jesus. His
authority and dominion is ever powerful and ever-increasing and has no end and
limit.
Historical facts clearly talked about the rise and fall of the Egyptian
Kingdom, the rise and fall of the Babylonian Kingdom, the rise and fall of the
Greek Empire, the rise and fall of the Roman Kingdom, the rise and fall of the
British Empire and from all emerging news the current superpower United State
of America seems to be giving way to another emerging superpower, however,
scriptural fact also magnify the fact
that the only Kingdom that is and that would forever be is the Kingdom of Our
Lord Jesus Christ, the bible says that in Revelation_11:15 (KJV) “And the seventh angel sounded; and there
were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his
Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”
There is nothing permanent in this world, the
only thing that is permanent and unchanging is in Christ Jesus; Our Lord Jesus
Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever more. The only constant in the
equation is JESUS CHRIST, any other factors are just variables. Having this
assurance and hope let us spend our few days on this earth to know and get
acquainted with the our LORD JESUS CHRIST on daily basis; majority of our time
and struggles in this life should spend towards knowing him and becoming more
like him. Our presents suffering for the sake of our faith cannot in anyway be
compared to the glory that awaits us in Christ Jesus.
“Knowing that he which raised up
the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant
grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For
which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a
moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things
which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are
seen are temporal; but the
things which are not seen are
eternal.”
