A nation’s character is mostly a reflection of what has been happening at home, I mean the family. History has it that most leaders who have impacted the world both positively and negatively, picked those motivation from their family or their immediate environment. Adolf Hitler, one of the most evil men in history who spearheaded a campaign of industrialized slaughter that was rooted in an anti-Semitic feelings was said to have come from a dysfunctional home, this filled him with a lot of anger and self-esteem problems. Hitler waged a war that claimed over 40 million lives of which over half of them were civilians. While the average person of his days dreamt of a bliss family life, all that occupied Hitler’s mind was war and the destruction of the Jewish people who he blamed as the source of everything that was wrong in the German society. Adolf Hitler’s dysfunctional family had a negative impact on his live and how he viewed things and this eventually affected his country...

“For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel.” 2 Samuel 12:12(KJV)  The destruction of the male figure in the family is the surest way of destroying the very foundation of every society; lives and destinies of every society is shaped and nurtured in the home, which is the family. Remember the the popular saying  “Charity begins at home” , the very things that would hold society in unison is charity which is love, has its very foundation at home in the family. And the head of every family is the male figure and the easiest way to destroy every given people is to attack their very foundation which is the stability of the family unit and the easiest way to do that is to attack the head of those units which are the men.  So pornography, although it affects women negatively to some extent, was purposely designed to attack and weaken the male figure in the family. Any other sin a man commits does not affect his body; but the man who is guilty of sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1st Corinthians 6:18(GNB) The recent public outcry against television stations that have been caught showing pornographic movies is a fraction of how our society is so much aware of the negative effect of pornography on its moral fabric and sustainability. This social outburst has assumed a national character on the Ghanaian media landscape and a well-known Lawyer in Ghana has described people who watch pornography as “Sick people”. Although his description of people who watch porn may seem harsh, I turn to agree with him; people who are addicted to pornography are people who are sick and need serious curative attention to cure their sickening problems.  You may or may not agree with the stance I have taken against addiction to pornography, but what I have come to personally know is that pornographic addiction causes...

“God wants you to be holy and completely free from sexual immorality.  1 Thessalonians  4:3(GNB) Pornography!!! Hmm, is what I have come to call the silent killer of the faith of most Christians, especially men. I was surprised to hear a marriage counselor telling a couple he was taking through a marriage counselling section to watch pornography so as to know how to have sex, because I thought the bible says in 1Thessalonians_5:22(KJV)  “Abstain from all appearance of evil.” Let’s take a pause and look at the standard definition of the word pornography and then we look at it in the context of the scriptures.  The word Pornography according to the Encarta dictionary means anything that is portraying sex explicitly and intended to cause sexual arousal through films, writings, magazines, photographs and other mediums that makes sexual arousal overt.
